The Department of Community & Economic Development's (DCED) mission is to facilitate strategic development and services within the Cincinnati community that improve the lives of residents, increase business investment, and revitalize city neighborhoods. DCED provides and leverages funding and other resources that support quality housing, neighborhood revitalization and human services in the City of Cincinnati. The Department also strives to eliminate blight and building safety hazards and to promote building repair and renovation, which is done through education and enforcement of property maintenance codes.
DCED's Economic Development Programs and Services include: Programs for Small Business; Workforce Programs; Incentives & Financing; Incubators & Workspaces; Retention & Expansion; and Programs for Neighborhood Business Districts. 
DCED's Community Development Division focuses on proactive, targeted and transformative development to provide quality-housing options for all Cincinnati residents.
