Every time a fire or rescue emergency is reported, all information captured about that incident is recorded in the city's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. This data helps emergency incident dispatchers determine the incident category, severity level of the emergency, and appropriate response level.
Once firefighters are dispatched, they update the incident disposition (on-scene status/finding) in CAD to incident finding at the location of the emergency. The data displayed in the dashboard is only for the Cincinnati Fire Department's (CFD) responses to reported emergency fire and rescue incidents (view EMS response dashboard here).
